dear donald,

dear donald,

you better move fast and lock us jews, and women, and queers, and muslims, and blacks, and mexicans in a ghetto soon, because you have no fucking clue how badly you are underestimating our solidarity and our resolve to keep you from accepting your award for best salesman in a presidential race. our election is not your direct response infomercial. our country is not your next trump brand extension.

my grandmother outlasted auschwitz, dachau, bergen belsen and the whole merry band of insecure, fear-mongering narcissist nazis that hitler rallied around his limp dick. she was not a banker, she didnt control the media, she didnt vote for hillary. she was a survivor. not of fraud lawsuits and sexual harassment accusations, but of divisive intolerant bullies like you and giuliani and sessions and bannon and all the other demagogues that you feel emboldened to introduce into our government as a demonstration of your ability to build a “team” to make america great again.

i really dont care about the balance of right / left, liberal / conservative, republican / democratic structures. these false dichotomies are what gave birth to this humiliating brain fart that we just released as a country.

what matters is human decency.

do you treat others with respect?

are your interested in their differences?

can you lead people forward without holding any back?

there is nothing to suggest your ability to do so, especially not your vicious, deceitful, duplicitous campaign to get elected.

many may call on you to change your tone, to introduce some moderates republicans to your cabinet, to throw a bone to the democrats, to… blah blah blah…

but i know you and your cronies from having lived in new york in the 80s and 90s. the gaudy buildings that nobody wanted to live in. the ridiculous tabloid stories about you and failed football leagues and wretched ms universe pageants and just everything that had to do with “trump.”

its all the same now in terms of your behavior as you prepare for your upcoming role. except this time you convinced a bunch of americans far away from new york that you were in fact a decent man of principle who could run a complex organization and make them whole for all they had lost these past years.

and for this you believe you are entitled to our respect as a country. right? after all, the peaceful transition of power represents democracy at its fullest.

good luck with that.
